About the Project

The Epicurus Project: Musing about modernity from a very loosely Epicurean perspective.

What this isn’t: A place to discover what Epicurus said or thought; any sort of systematic elucidation of Epicureanism.

What this is: A personal view of how someone attracted to the broad sweep of Epicurean ideas might go about applying some of them, however loosely interpreted, however freely adapted, to certain modern issues.

MARK WALKER is a teacher, writer and general dilettante who occasionally surfaces to air his views about the links between Ancient Greek philosophy (specifically Epicureanism) and our messed up modern world.

You can find more in a similar vein on my related blogs, Positive Epicurus and A Lazy Afternoon in the Garden of Lucretius.
